In addition to Azurmendi in Larrabetzu (Bizkaia) -considered the most sustainable restaurant in the world and which in 2022 celebrated 10 consecutive years with 3 Michelin stars-, Eneko Atxa runs 8 restaurants more around the world, each with a different gastronomic proposal. His career as a chef, as well as his sustainability projects and his commitment to people, environment, health and society increase his recognition worldwide. In Mercer Madrid, the Basque chef launches La Sociedad Gastronómika (The Gastronomic Society), his ninth restaurant and the second one in the Spanish capital.
Located on the ground floor of the hotel, with large windows overlooking Ruiz de Alarcón and Calle Juan de Mena streets, La Sociedad Gastronómika is the new fine dining space in the capital. The restaurant has a room with an open kitchen and capacity for just 16 diners. It also has a private wine cellar with capacity up to 12 diners.
